How OpenNoiser handles your data

Your voice

Noise suppression runs locally on your Mac. Normal processing does not save recordings or upload audio. If you explicitly start a voice test, the app captures up to 15 seconds in memory for local before/after playback. The voice test is not sent to our server.

Activation and trial

The app contacts opennoiser.com to start a trial, activate a license, and periodically refresh access. Requests include a machine identifier, computer name, app build and license details. These records enforce the trial and device limits; they are not audio.

Purchases and the website

We store the email address and order, payment, entitlement and device records needed to deliver and support a purchase. Sign-in uses a session cookie. A pending checkout reference and claim are kept in this browser tab's session storage so a reload can recover its status; they are cleared on completion or after their recovery window. Payment processing also involves the provider displayed at checkout.

Optional diagnostics

Logs include system, computer and audio-device information. Export saves a ZIP locally, even without an active license. Send uploads the diagnostic ZIP only after you select that action. Voice recordings are not included. Review exported logs before sharing them.

Questions and requests

Contact support about access to or correction/removal of your account data. Include your order reference where relevant; do not send passwords or raw payment credentials.
